Wacław Grubiński papers, 1915-1972.

Includes Wacław Grubiński's correspondence with family members, colleagues, political activists, and Aleksander Janta (donor). Correspondents include: Mieczysław Grydzewski, Adam Grzymała-Siedlecki, Julian Krzyżanowski, Antoni Pająk, August Zaleski, and others. Also with a few third party letters, especially between Janta and others concerning Grubiński. Compositions includes autograph manuscripts of Grubiński's journals (diaries) from 1962-1971, and typescripts of his memoir, Miedzy młotem a sierpem = Between hammer and sickle and his play, Kochankowie = Lovers, among others. Also included are printed articles and clippings saved by WG and a few photographs.

Wacław Grubiński, Polish short-story writer, novelist, playwright of the "Warsaw School," and theater critic, was born in Warsaw in 1883 and died in London in 1973.
